About The Position

The DIIAC Test Specialist is part of a team responsible for the development, accreditation, and maintenance of the Distributed Integrated Interoperability Assessment Capability (DIIAC). This role is responsible for the full lifecycle of distributed testing, bridging the gap between high-level system requirements and real-world tactical execution. CORE FUNCTIONS / JOB DUITES Ability to perform the following, with some supervision: System Development & Research: Lead the integration of new Simulation/Stimulation (SIM/STIM) capabilities, conducting technical research and authoring Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) to keep pace with emerging technologies. Test Engineering & Planning: Design comprehensive Test Objectives, Analysis Methodologies, and Data Management & Analysis Plans (DMAPs). You will be responsible for developing complex scenarios utilizing protocols such as DIS, Link-16, Link-11, and JREAP. Tactical Operations: Provide hands-on expertise during test events by configuring SIM/STIM systems and operating tactical consoles (including Aegis, SSDS, and C2P). This includes monitoring Tactical Data Link (TDL) traffic and Protocol Data Units (PDUs) to identify and isolate system anomalies. Logistics & Coordination: Act as the liaison for Land Based Test Sites (LBTS), managing lab scheduling, asset reservation, and site readiness tracking to ensure seamless test execution. Analysis & Reporting: Post-event, lead the transition from data to insight by delivering After Action Reports (AAR), Formal Analysis Reports (FAR), and documenting issues via Test Observation Reports (TOR).

Requirements

  • Has basic knowledge of common terminology within the scope of the program
  • Has basic knowledge of Test and Evaluation Methodologies
  • Has basic knowledge of Technical Writing
  • Has basic knowledge of Troubleshooting
  • Has basic knowledge of Standard computer-based business tools (including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point)
  • Has basic knowledge of Data collection and plan development, to support analysis objectives
  • Possesses solid writing skills and the ability to develop mid-level informational briefs, point papers and monthly status reports
  • Four years relevant experience, to include two or more years of experience in Aegis Combat System (ACS) operations, Tactical Data Link (TDL) disciplines and experience with Navy Simulation/Stimulation (SIM/STIM) systems such as Common Connectivity Device (CCD), Next Generation Simulation (NGS) and Test & Training Enabling Architecture (TENA).
  • GED and/or equivalent years of experience
  • U.S. Citizenship is Required
  • Candidates must have an active clearance OR the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance and will be subject to a US security background investigation (i.e. favorable background investigation / credit score). Additional eligibility requirements for access to various levels of classified information may also be required.
