About The Position
BAE Systems' Electronic Systems (ES) sector is seeking candidates for a full-time summer 2026 internship, to join our ES Defense Test Solutions organization in the SW Engineering discipline. We have intern positions for talented, up and coming electrical/computer or computer science engineers who want to work at a progressive company where technical excellence is highly valued. The Test Solutions organization's mission is to deliver customer-focused, affordable test solutions, which are integrated, across all levels of test. As a Test Engineering Intern in Electronic Systems, you will develop your engineering skills while helping us protect the brave men and women in our armed forces, intelligence communities, and first responders. Electronic Systems (ES) develops advanced electronic solutions that are fielded on everything from Electronic Warfare (EW) mission systems to state of the art imaging, targeting, guidance, and survivability solutions to assist and protect the warfighter. Our products must work the first time and every time because people's lives depend on it. Test Engineering interns work side-by-side with experienced developers and senior engineering staff. This internship will be at BAE Systems in southern New Hampshire including Nashua, Hudson, and/or Merrimack locations. The internship is a paid internship and has a flexible 9/80 work schedule that includes every other Friday off. Join BAE and help us in our mission as "We protect those who protect us."
Requirements
- Pursing a B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- Must have completed the equivalent of Sophomore year by summer of 2026.

Responsibilities
- Support senior engineering personnel in the design, development and selection of basic hardware components utilizing fundamental electrical and mechanical engineering principles, theories and techniques.
- Support senior engineering personnel in the design and development of test software.
- Develop and revise technical drawing packages based on examples and company standards.
- Perform technical assignments of an investigatory, design, or test nature requiring limited analysis and evaluation, selection and application of basic engineering principles, theories and techniques.
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting, resolution, and implementation of change requests to update the test software/hardware that are critical to keep our production lines moving.
- Prepare charts, diagrams, and reports expressing technical progress and accomplishments measured against specific plans.
- Support of products ranging from component level to systems level analog, digital, optical, and RF units.
- Hands-on support and use of test instrumentation, including, Network Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators, DC/AC Power Supplies, Waveform Generators, Digital Multimeters, etc.)
- Networking with BAE Systems employees and interns.
- Informational sessions on a variety of topics exclusively for interns.
- Professional development classes and an opportunity to participate in collaborative group projects that are presented to executive leadership.
