BAE Systems is seeking a full-time onsite Test / Product Engineer to join the Technical Operations F-35 Sustainment team. Technical Operations is a rapidly growing discipline working with the Engineering organization with the mission to reliably deliver customer-focused, affordable products which are integrated across all levels of Sustainment test. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline and 2 years work experience.
  • Current Secret Clearance.
  • Skilled in test hardware including understanding of RF, digital and analog devices.
  • Knowledge of test instruments and their use.
  • Experienced in test solution hardware integration.
  • Possess good communication skills including interpersonal communication and team communication across multiple shifts.
  • Understanding the need for, and be an advocate of, disciplined approaches (requirements, processes, and practices).
  • Have a closure-oriented and self-directed nature.
  • Understanding of test techniques and practices to ensure testing is optimized for cost, quality and schedule.
  • Proactive and problem-solving mindset.
  • High attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a defense or aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with mentoring Technicians.
  • Familiarity with Process Engineering responsibilities.
  • Experience with Sustainment, Production, and Depot.
  • Ability to make decisions for in person or on teams while interacting with management.
  • Defining, integrating, and maintaining hardware test requirements and test performance.
  • Initiating continuous improvement of electronic controls in response to acceptance test yields and delivered quality metrics.
  • Comfortable in a test environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain test solutions to improve product testability while improving yield throughout the test process.
  • Participate in corrective action board and provide training to technicians in troubleshooting and optimizing throughput.
  • Provide guidance for transitioning new hardware from Production to Sustainment.
  • Support the Air Force Maintenance Facility (Depot) and hardware test verification activities to certify hardware test solutions.
  • Apply skills to solve challenges for Sustainment hardware including radar warning, electronic support measures, broadband electronic attack, and electronic protection.
