Seagate Technology is seeking a test process engineering intern for its development and process architecture team in Longmont, Colorado Design Center. This is a technical position with broad responsibility to work with mentors in the group to develop and advance the manufacturing test process solutions for the best-in-class Cloud hard disk drives. The role involves the design and implementation of software and firmware test process solutions for the newest technologies in hard drive manufacturing. The intern will incorporate these solutions into the early phase of the product development cycle by performing integration, testing, failure analysis and resolution, and drive performance characterization. The position requires significant interaction and coordination with other design engineering functions that result in successful delivery of cross-functional designs. The intern will be responsible for delivering innovative architectural solutions that serve as the backbone for test process software and firmware. This role is highly collaborative and requires excellent communication and technical leadership skills. The candidate should be hands-on with a proven ability to debug software and firmware issues, all directed towards identifying failure root cause and driving corrective action. Demonstrable ability to conceive and develop solutions to complex engineering problems is essential.
