About The Position

Chowbus is a fast growing, well-funded food startup headquartered in Chicago on a mission to help diners to discover new and exquisite dishes, and to give traditional mom and pop restaurants a fighting chance to succeed without compromising who they truly are. By building a super app, our goal is to be the one stop shop for everything related to food. The Warehouse Associate, Test Operator role will handle device testing and coordinate with our 20+ cities to drive best practices in logistics, ensuring a world class post-sales experience for our merchants. This role may sometimes assist with shipments and inventory management.

Requirements

  • 0-3 years of operational or warehouse experience
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of windows/IOS operating systems, including navigating software applications, software installations, software application configuring, pre-setting and troubleshooting minor technical issues
  • Experience with hardware testing, including troubleshooting, diagnostics, and performance evaluation of electronic or computer components
  • Must be physically present on-site during designated work hours and maintain consistent and reliable attendance to fulfill job responsibilities effectively.
  • Must be able to multitask.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills required.
  • Ability to manage time and prioritize effectively required.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with different stakeholders required.
  • Ability to learn technical aspects of POS related hardware and software required.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Operates devices to test functioning of parts or whole units
  • Runs software programs to test device functionality
  • Tests components or circuits of faulty equipment to locate defects, using special diagnostic software programs
  • Tests repaired systems of the devices to ensure that they are in working order
  • Compares findings with the customers reported problem and advice of failures found
  • Returns unit back to the vendor for repair if unit fails test
  • May install and configure repaired equipment, including operating software or peripheral equipment
  • QC returned equipment to evaluate if equipment can be repurposed
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor and manager, such as overseeing shipments process from receiving, tagging inventory, managing inventory levels and shipping equipment out to other cities
