Job Summary Principle Accountabilities: Tests electronic products, components and systems for electrical continuity and function and reliability on a variety of test platforms and static/dynamic stress chambers. Ensure products have seal integrity using fluids in leak testing procedures. Determine if the product passes based on pressure dropping test procedures. Test products using destructive test processes to determine if bonding process is proper and completed. Responsible to stop the line if any product fails the destructive test requirements. Determines if the designated product passes all test cycles. Collects diagnostic information needed to isolate any product failure. Enters test yield data into appropriate statistical process control system. Notifies the appropriate test/quality engineer if test yields drop below acceptable levels. Inspects product for the correct placement and orientation of untested components. Inspects product for any physical damage or contamination. Places the appropriate test marks on all electronics pass test. Runs tester diagnostics at specified intervals. Performs routine preventive maintenance at specified intervals on testers, chambers, fixtures, carrier cards, etc. May train others.

Requirements

  • Completion of a high school degree or equivalent is preferred.
  • Successful completion of company provided training may be required.
  • Typically requires 6-12 months of related experience.
  • Demonstrates basic manufacturing line knowledge and participates in process.
  • Able to read and comprehend simple instructions.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees, leads, and supervisors of the organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
