Raytheon’s Mission Capability and Verification Center (MCVC) located on White Sands Missile Range, NM is seeking a Systems Engineer to join the Test Operations Team. This role will support multiple programs in planning & preparations of range operations, ground tests and various Missile Flight Tests.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with systems engineering i.e (hardware, system operations, and/or system maintenance).
  • Experience with test operations and/or test plans.

Nice To Haves

  • Air Defense System Operator certification.
  • Experience coordinating efforts within the scheduling and operational constraints at a test range, such as White Sands.
  • Experience with air traffic restrictions and airspace utilization.
  • Experience with Adobe, Delorme Topo and Arcview, Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling, preparation of documents, and supporting missile flight test activities at White Sands Missile Range and with other National/International Test Ranges as required.
  • Interfacing with contractors and government agencies to support needed mission sites and assets.
  • Generate and track mission and hot firing procedures, target profiles using range maps and other mapping programs, and coordinate systems.
  • Generate documentation and reports for use by site and customer personnel.
  • Travel to remote and domestic locations – CONUS and OCONUS - to support program requirements. Travel not expected to exceed 10%.
