About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Test Lead Consultant to support a large-scale enterprise system implementation. This consultant will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive testing strategy to ensure a high-quality deployment of a SaaS platform and its integrations across multiple enterprise systems. The role requires strong leadership in coordinating testing activities, managing defect resolution, and ensuring cross-system functionality to support a smooth transition to the new platform. This is a 4-month contract opportunity with a hybrid work structure, requiring approximately 25% onsite presence each month in Olympia, WA. At this time, we are only considering candidates who are currently based in Washington State and able to support the hybrid onsite requirement for the duration of the engagement. As a Test Lead Consultant for AG Consulting Partners, a typical day might include the following: Develop and implement a comprehensive test strategy and test plan supporting a large-scale SaaS system implementation. Lead and coordinate end-to-end testing activities, including system integration testing, user acceptance testing, regression testing, and defect validation. Define test scenarios, test cases, and test data strategies to ensure comprehensive coverage across enterprise systems and integrations. Manage and track defects, risks, and testing progress, ensuring timely resolution and escalation when needed. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including technical teams, business stakeholders, and system integrators to validate system functionality and integration points. Oversee integration testing efforts across enterprise systems, including API, data migration, and system interoperability. Utilize Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar tools to manage test planning, execution, defect tracking, and reporting. Support cutover planning and readiness activities, ensuring testing milestones are aligned with deployment timelines. Provide status reporting and testing insights to program leadership to support informed decision-making. Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities within system workflows and ensure adequate testing coverage prior to deployment.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience leading software testing initiatives for large-scale enterprise implementations.
  • Experience supporting public sector organizations (state, local, or federal) as a contractor, consultant, or full-time employee.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting ERP or enterprise SaaS implementations.
  • Strong expertise in test strategy development, test planning, and test case design methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks, scripting tools, and automation strategies.
  • Experience testing SaaS solutions and complex system integrations, including API and data migration testing.
  • Proficiency using Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar tools for test management and defect tracking.
  • Experience supporting cutover planning, system readiness validation, and release testing activities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify risks and ensure adequate testing coverage.
  • Proven ability to lead testing efforts across cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines in fast-paced environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting Workday implementations, particularly within HR, finance, or enterprise system modernization programs.
  • Prior experience working on large-scale government modernization initiatives, including cloud transformation or legacy system replacement projects.
  • Relevant certifications such as ISTQB, PMP, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or other testing and project management certifications.
  • Familiarity with enterprise HR systems or Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS) and related integrations.
  • Prior experience supporting cutover readiness, go-live planning, and post-deployment stabilization efforts.
