About The Position

The Test Lab Manager will oversee the Manual User Life Testing division at Milwaukee Tool, leading a team responsible for coordinating testing requirements with New Product Development. This role emphasizes team development, communication, and project management to ensure successful execution of testing programs and adherence to timelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in an engineering lab environment.
• Working knowledge of advanced statistical methods.
• Knowledge of engineering materials used in power tools and accessories.
• Familiarity with the mechanical properties of engineering materials.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day activities of both technical and non-technical individuals.
• Support new product design teams through test development, data analysis, and competitor benchmarking.
• Use robust statistical methods to interpret performance data and make formal recommendations to product design teams.
• Provide leadership and manage multiple moderate to highly complex test programs.
• Serve as an expert resource for the organization to lead teams in industry best practices.
• Effectively communicate to motivate team members across the organization.
• Oversee day-to-day activities of cross-functional projects and track project schedules.
• Accountable for technical elements of project execution and drive urgency in project schedules.
• Ensure the team has the necessary time and resources to succeed by managing robust project schedules.
• Identify project risks and implement risk mitigation programs.
