About The Position

The National Security Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for two Test Instrumentation Engineers in Albuquerque, NM as part of our Counter-WMD Weapons and Capabilities Systems Engineering and Integration Team, supporting the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. Primary responsibilities include test instrumentation plan development, research and development, and investigation of new sensor and data acquisition technologies. This is a part-time position. Specific duties/responsibilities include the following: Independent development, management, and implementation of instrumentation plans and methodologies to meet measurement objectives to support DTRA testing. Research, development, and integration efforts to maintain currency in state-of-the-art and emerging/developmental data acquisition systems and sensor technologies across the CWMD testing spectrum to ensure maximum effectiveness and to fill voids in testing capabilities. Development and implementation of rigorous processes to ensure new sensor and data acquisition technologies are properly investigated and validated prior to introduction into the DTRA inventory. Development of test plans and methodologies to perform validation and verification testing of existing and emerging measurement diagnostic technologies and systems Come break things (in a good way). Pay Range: Pay Range $131,300.00 - $237,350.00 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in engineering or a scientific field with at least 12+ years of overall experience
  • Experience with DTRA research and development or developmental testing and evaluation
  • ACTIVE Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
