About The Position

Acara Solutions seeks a Test & Evaluation Engineering Support Specialist for our client in Manassas, VA. As a CWL Test & Evaluation Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in the success of our projects. Collaborating with CWL and MTWS engineers to conduct testing and integration. Employing a professional and confident approach when working with various engineering groups within Progeny and external entities to define, document, analyze, conduct, and interpret tests. Identifying functional issues and proposing effective resolutions. Operating in a fast-paced, integrated product development team comprising professionals from multiple contracting organizations and DoD laboratory entities. Developing and analyzing test cases while providing regular progress updates. Reporting to a supervisor or manager, demonstrating a high degree of autonomy in your work. Crafting comprehensive test procedures. Proficiently utilizing electrical measurement tools, such as oscilloscopes and multimeters. Conducting Verification and Validation for corrective changes. Performing installations, rip-outs, testing, and validation of tactical systems. Assisting in configuring the lab in accordance with relevant drawings and port maps. Supporting informal and formal test events, as well as other customer-driven test activities. Identifying, analyzing, and documenting software, firmware, and hardware defects and collaborating with the engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Supporting the Logistics team in the development of installation and operation procedures.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Technology or Engineering.
Minimum of 4 years of experience with the AN/BLQ-10, AN/BYG-1, Submarine Weapon Launchers, or AN/BQQ-10 systems.
Active Secret Clearance.
Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
Applicants for this position must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), all employees assigned to this client must provide documentation verifying their status as a 'U.S. Person', as defined in ITAR clause 120.15.

Nice To Haves

Proficiency in software testing and analysis.

General knowledge of network configurations, operations, and commands.
Navy or Submarine experience.
Solid knowledge in the use and understanding of test engineering concepts, principles, and theories.
