About The Position

CPE STRI Live Training Systems (LTS) is seeking a highly skilled Engineer to support its efforts in delivering advanced simulation, testing, and training solutions for military operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in electrical/hardware to support efforts in the LTS Rapid Prototyping program, along with test and evaluation experience in environments like ATEC (Army Test and Evaluation Command) and beyond. An Agile certification is also highly desirable for this role.

Requirements

  • Experience: 10+ years of relevant test and evaluation experience, or 5+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • Working understanding of hardware and software development, integration, test, and assessment life cycles.
  • Security Clearance: Active SECRET clearance (mandatory).
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities, particularly in high-stakes, mission-critical systems.
  • Ability to work in a classified environment.
  • Strong analytical and technical writing skills for producing evaluation reports.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team, including with military personnel.

Nice To Haves

  • DAWIA Level 3 - Test & Evaluation
  • Experience in both classified and unclassified network testing environments.
  • Experience with defense-related Test & Evaluation policies and standards.
  • Knowledge of automated testing tools and methods for network systems.
  • Experience with the development of comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test reports.
  • Agile Certification (Scrum Master, Agile Practitioner, etc.).
  • Technical Skills: Proven expertise in network monitoring, performance optimization, network protocols, IP addressing, subnetting, and network security.
  • ATEC Expertise: Demonstrated experience in ATEC environments, with knowledge extending beyond ATEC to broader testing methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical oversight on the Synthetic Training Environment Live Training System (STE LTS)
  • Assist with administering testing procedures and writing reports for the LTS program.
  • Participate in engineering working groups and other IPTs in order to coordinate with stakeholders and developer efforts to effectively ensure a thorough and complete T&E process.
  • Assist with test and evaluation efforts across mission-critical systems, ensuring systems meet required performance standards.
  • Implement and manage testing protocols focused on redundancy, scalability, and performance optimization.
  • Monitor, diagnose, and resolve hardware/electrical engineering issues.
  • Develop detailed reports and recommendations based on test results for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD security protocols and standards.
