About The Position

Test & Evaluation Engineer (Associate, Mid-Level or Senior) Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E) is seeking Test & Evaluation Engineers to join our team in Seattle, WA . In this role you will develop cost‑effective verification and validation test methods by collaborating with program teams to define detailed test requirements, procedures, instrumentation, and configuration definitions; apply analytical tools to verify designs; analyze, process, and format test data to meet customer needs; mentor and train team members; and proactively minimize test risk while working under general direction. Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate, Experienced and Senior Level Test & Evaluation Engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
• Willing to travel domestically as needed
• 5+ years of experience working in an engineering environment
• Project management (technical, schedule, and financial)
• Airplane or airplane parts/system level product integration
• This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
• This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of Test Program Management best practices
• Partners with airplane design engineering counterparts to co-lead the development of test requirements
• Works cross-functionally to support BT&E Lab/Flight Test NW program/project plan and integrate with key stakeholders.
• Leads Cost-Effective Verification and Validation methods
• Applies lessons learned to the improvement of test procedures
• Guides teams that design test hardware, software and systems to achieve test program objectives
• Provides oversight on Test Program deliverables to customer
• Develop baselines and manage change to Statement Of Work, Requirements, Cost, Schedule, Risk/Issues/Opportunities, and Supply Chain
• Lead development and approval of Estimates/Proposals
• Manage communications of plan and performance to plan across stakeholder teams and up-and-out with stakeholder leadership
• Facilitate battle-rhythm with execution teams to drive performance to plan
• Support and contribute to leadership strategy and business operations for Lab/Flight Test NW
• Is proactive, works under minimal direction and trains others
