About The Position

Amentum is seeking a Calibration Coordinator to provide calibration support for mechanical and electrical/electronic test equipment at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) located at Naval Station Norfolk. The role involves administrative and technical coordination, ensuring compliance with calibration standards, and liaising with various stakeholders regarding equipment issues.

Requirements

• Vocational/technical training beyond high school and at least five (5) years of job-related experience, or equivalent.
• 5 years of general experience in calibration administration.
• 5 years of specialized experience tracking, maintaining, and updating METBENCH Calibration Management System (MCMS).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Thorough working knowledge of regulations, procedures, and references including 4734.1B, ST700-AM-GYD-010 and ST700-AM-PRO-010.
• Must have an active secret US government clearance.

• Prior experience supporting the Navy Calibration Laboratories.

Responsibilities

• Conduct audits and liaison functions related to fleet interface with the COMNAVSYSCOM Meteorology Calibration Program and METCAL Auditing Support.
• Complete required forms for processing items received for calibration and maintain calibration records for all codes within the MARMC engineering department.
• Outsource test equipment to accredited commercial calibration facilities for items not supported by Navy Calibration Laboratories.
• Schedule, coordinate, monitor, and track shipboard Gage Calibration/Field Calibration Activity Certifications for all commands under MARMC's purview.
• Conduct Calibration Capability Evaluations.
• Communicate with representatives of all levels regarding specific equipment problems and NAVSEA meteorology calibration matters, both orally and in writing.
• Represent MARMC at meetings, conferences, and seminars when tasked.
