About The Position

Eaton's Electrical Critical Power Solutions Division is currently seeking a Test Engineering Senior Manager to join our team in Raleigh, NC. This position will be a hybrid office (3 days in-office, 2 days remote). Relocation benefits and sponsorship will be provided within the United States only. The expected annual salary range for this role is $141,000 - $206,800 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Minimum ten (10) years professional experience combined in product development and production test engineering
  • Minimum five (5) years' experience leading test engineering teams

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Engineering or MBA from an accredited institution
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing test automation frameworks
  • Professional experience working in a manufacturing operations environment
  • Experience implementing and updating lockout/tagout and other electrical safety programs
  • Experience in test automation and test infrastructure
  • Successful experience in an organization with multiple, geographically diverse and international locations.
  • Ability to drive change through influence and proven experience as an effective change agent.
  • Excellent communication, Customer Service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership and professional presence
  • Ability to drive results in a matrix environment and by developing and empowering individuals and teams

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and mentor a team of 12-15 Test Engineers and Engineering Technicians developing test infrastructure, and test plans. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Define and drive the overall divisional test engineering strategy aligned to product development goals and operational strategies.
  • Coordinate across the sector and other enterprise organizations to align strategies for test engineering processes, procedures, and workflows.
  • Collaborate effectively with external and internal customers, such as Marketing, Service, Operations and other engineering teams to align test strategies to business KPIs
  • Lead agency and compliance testing, strategy, and program participation (UL DAP, etc).
  • Actively encourage innovation and ensure the team is pursuing modern techniques and technologies
  • Champion and instill processes around test automation and best-practice standards
  • Promote a culture of learning, self-improvement, and growth through performance feedback, coaching and mentoring
  • Encourage an environment that promotes effective working relationships within the team and with other functional groups globally
  • Work with leaders from across the business to promote sharing of best practices, to leverage technology where applicable, and to seek opportunities for collaboration
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to improve the overall effectiveness of the department
  • Foster an environment that promotes Eaton's strategic initiatives, goals and values
  • Recruit and hire permanent and contract resources to enhance staffing plans and to maintain a healthy pipeline of talent
