Teledyne Storm Microwave, a leading manufacturer of R/F Microwave cable assemblies, is searching for Test Engineering Manager for a full-time position at our Woodridge, IL facility. Summary The Test Engineering Manager is responsible for leading a team of engineers and engineering technicians to design, develop, and execute tests for cables, connectors, and cable assemblies, while also managing resources, budgets, and project timelines. Key responsibilities include providing technical leadership, mentoring staff, collaborating with other departments, and ensuring all testing adheres to safety and quality standards.

  • Team and Project Management: Lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers and technicians, conduct performance reviews, and manage career development.
  • Resource and Budget Management: Perform resource planning, allocate personnel, and manage the department budget to meet staffing and financial goals, and project timelines.
  • Technical Leadership : Provide technical guidance on the design, integration, and testing of RF connectors, cables, and cable assemblies using expertise in mechanical and electrical testing.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with project managers, other engineering teams, and stakeholders to ensure project goals are met and technical solutions align with requirements.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Oversee the creation and management of all necessary documentation, such as Test and Qualification Plans, Reports, and Technical Diagrams.
  • Process and Quality Assurance: Ensure the team's work adheres to internal processes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements, and drive continuous improvement in test engineering.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience in RF microwave testing, often including automated test equipment development.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing technical teams.
  • Strong knowledge of analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency with relevant software, such as python, VEE, Visual Basic
