THE WORK In this important role some of your responsibilities will include: Managing the design, development, and implementation of testing methods. Managing the production test engineering Staff, including recruitment, selection, and training. Conducting performance assessments, assigns work tasks, and oversees salary adjustments and recognition/disciplinary actions. Coaching and providing training to staff to ensure the Production Test Engineering team meets business requirements. Collaborating with the Program team to provide the production test engineering staff needed for factory work. Leading and managing factory test expense and capital projects. Ensuring projects meet cost and schedule targets. Interfacing with higher levels of management for information flow. Collaborating across functional boundaries. Developing innovative technical solutions as well as provide leadership to project teams. Defining, developing, and leading continuous process improvement activities associated with all aspects of the Test Engineering department. Balancing priorities of new test equipment development with manufacturing support issues in a dynamic environment. Acting as a primary spokesperson for Test Engineering issues internally and externally to the wider organization. Requirements

Selected candidate must have leadership experience in a technical engineering role or in a functional management role.
Knowledge and experience with leading teams of 8 to 12 Staff (or greater).
Requires project leaderships skills to manage cost, schedule and technical requirements.
Demonstrated ability to pro-actively establish team and individual goals. Provide constructive feedback to individuals and the team.
Experience developing strategies for process improvement.
Experience in leadership of Engineering personnel.
Proficiency in Product Development Process.
Proficiency in Production Processes.
Proficiency in root cause analysis
Experience in growing organizational talent through informal coaching and formal performance reviews.
Requires relevant leadership experience to support teams that develop and execute test solutions in manufacturing.
The ideal candidate excels at leadership and mentorship—motivating the team, resolving conflicts, delegating effectively, and developing talent through clear goal setting, performance reviews, and constructive feedback.
Exceptional communication skills are required to promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
