The Automotive & Aerospace Engineering Lab is responsible for planning all materials and product testing as requested through the Technical Services Request System. The role involves ensuring on-time completion of requests or notifying the requestor if on-time completion is not possible. The position requires interfacing with various groups including Customer, Sales, Product Engineering, PMO, R&D, Purchasing, and Product Management to understand the background behind testing requests. The individual will ensure that tests are selected, conducted, and reported to maximize the potential value to Tenneco SP, and will deliver customer presentations as required. Additionally, the role involves ensuring that all test reports are technically accurate, clear, concise, and consistent with Tenneco SP standards. The individual will serve on industry standards committees and act as a liaison/resource for communication with testing and regulatory agencies. General technical support will be provided to various groups, and the individual will be responsible for testing product performance, recommending products for customer applications, and troubleshooting product failures.
