Otter Products is hiring for a Test Engineering Intern to join our Test Engineering and Prototyping team in Fort Collins, CO. The Test Engineering Intern plays an important role in analyzing issues and finding solutions that optimize our overall quality without compromising our time-to-market and customer satisfaction initiatives.   • Gain a strong understanding of test standards, equipment, and test lab methodologies
  • Assist in product prototyping and assembly
  • Create CAD models
  • Participate in continual improvement, corrective action, and customer satisfaction initiatives
  • Learn how to identify product failures by establishing test standards, methods, and test environments and analyze and evaluate findings, failures and identify root causes
  • Inspect product to quality standards and evaluate quality of product as compared to engineered drawings
  • May operate a variety of rapid prototyping equipment sets utilizing multiple 3D printing technologies, laser cutters, forming and molding techniques, and other fabrication methods
  • Document test results within the quality database
  • Support and maintain a positive safety culture by following all safety policies and procedures and actively contributing to a safe working environment
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Enrolled in (preferably at the Junior level or higher) or recently completed (within 1 year) bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering or Engineering related field from an accredited university or college required
  • Available to work up to 40 hr/week during the Summer Internship typical term of May 19th - August 8th required
  • CAD experience preferred
  • Located or will be located near our Fort Collins, CO office. Unfortunately relocation is not offered - housing and transportation are the intern's responsibility
