About The Position

Avery Dennison Corporation is seeking a Test Engineering Intern to join our Hardware Engineering Team in North America during the summer of 2026. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in testing, validating, and optimizing hardware products such as RFID, IoT devices, and smart labeling systems. Interns will support the development and execution of test plans to ensure the reliability, performance, and quality of our cutting-edge products. The internship program serves as a talent pipeline for our Early Careers Program throughout the organization.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (minimum sophomore status) or Master's degree with a focus on Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Familiarity with testing methodologies, tools, and techniques for hardware products.
  • Basic understanding of electronics, embedded systems, and hardware components.
  • Experience with lab testing equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators is a plus).
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous internship/co-op experience or relevant work experience.
  • Experience via student organizations, such as Engineers without Borders, IEEE, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, American Society of Chemical Engineers, Society of Women Engineers, National Society of Black Engineers, Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, etc.
  • Volunteerism or similar activities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and executing test plans, procedures, and test cases for hardware systems including RFID and IoT devices.
  • Conduct functional, performance, and reliability testing on hardware prototypes and production systems.
  • Set up and operate testing equipment, collect data, and document test results.
  • Collaborate with hardware, software, and firmware teams to troubleshoot and resolve product defects.
  • Analyze test data, generate reports, and provide feedback on product quality and performance.
