The Test Engineering Intern position at Rocket Lab offers a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in the aerospace industry. Interns will support the Neutron Team in test operations for the Archimedes engine, contributing to the development of a medium lift launch vehicle designed for high assurance payloads and human spaceflight.   • Support the Neutron Team in test operations for the Archimedes engine.
  • Collaborate with mentors and team members to apply engineering concepts to real-world challenges.
  • Participate in regular 1:1 meetings with mentors and supervisors to track progress and facilitate learning.
  • Engage in tech talks and networking events with other interns and employees.
  • Must be enrolled in a bachelor's, master's, or doctorate degree program in an engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechatronics, Robotics) or physics.
  • GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • 3+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, laboratory, or personal/team projects).
  • GPA of 3.5 or above.
  • 6+ months of applied engineering experience.
  • Experience with JAVA.
  • Familiarity with Solidworks.
  • Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
  • CAD and CAM experience.
  • Eligible for a stipend to subsidize relocation costs.
