About The Position

The Test Engineer position supports the development and testing of industrial gas turbine combustion system components. The candidate will be a member of the Flow Testing and Instrumentation Lab and will work closely with combustion engineers to develop and carry out testing procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• General mechanical aptitude and ability to perform hands-on work
• Understanding of basic fluid dynamics
• Understanding of air flow measurement systems and techniques
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a professional, friendly, team environment
• Reliable and able to commit a schedule

Nice To Haves

• Higher level education in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field preferred
• Field work and travel may be required (up to 30%)

Responsibilities

• Perform air flow tests on Industrial Gas Turbine (IGT) components
• Support following hardware in the shop and at vendors facilities
• Develop procedures for flow testing of industrial gas turbine components
• Assist in fixture design for flow testing
• Maintain flow testing equipment to ensure validity of test results
• Set up data acquisition systems to collect test data
• Create Technical Documentation: O&M manuals, installation instructions, WI
• ECNs processing and drawing incorporation using TeamCenter
• Rig testing / commissioning support
• Other duties as assigned
