About The Position

In this role, you'll ensure the delivery of secure, reliable, and high-performing solutions for government clients and collaborate in fast-paced, iterative development cycles where quality is built in from day one. Your contributions will directly support federal agencies in achieving their missions, impacting millions of citizens. This position can be filled from any CGI Federal office. Your future duties and responsibilities: What You'll Do Daily . Design and Execute Test Plans: Develop comprehensive strategies covering all phases of testing: o Unit Testing: Validate individual components for accuracy and reliability. o Sprint Testing: Perform functional and integration tests within Agile sprints. o Smoke Testing: Quickly verify critical functionality after builds or deployments. o Regression Testing: Ensure new changes don't break existing functionality. o User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Validate solutions against business requirements and end-user needs. o Performance & Load Testing: Assess system scalability and responsiveness under stress. o Security & Compliance Testing: Confirm adherence to federal standards (FISMA, NIST). . Automate Testing: Build and maintain automated scripts for regression, performance, and smoke tests within CI/CD pipelines. . Manual Testing: Conduct exploratory, usability, and edge-case testing to ensure exceptional user experience. . Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps, and collaborate with developers for resolution. . Participate in Agile Ceremonies: Engage in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to align testing with development goals. . Continuous Improvement: Recommend process enhancements and contribute to test automation frameworks. . Documentation: Maintain clear and detailed test cases, results, and compliance evidence for audits.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years experience in software testing across multiple phases (unit, integration, smoke, UAT, performance, load, etc.).
  • Familiarity with automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, or similar).
  • Skilled in manual testing techniques such as exploratory and user acceptance testing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
