This role is critical during Phase 2–Phase 3 development, where engineering prototypes transition toward stable, manufacturable hardware.   The ideal candidate is someone who is deeply technical, execution‑oriented, comfortable working at the bench, and effective collaborating directly with design engineering during bring‑up and debug.   This is not a sustaining or purely documentation role. It is a factory‑floor, lab‑intensive engineering position requiring strong electronics fundamentals, ATE familiarity, and the ability to debug systems down to board and component level.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering or related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of electronics fundamentals (analog, digital, power, grounding, signal integrity).
  • Proven experience with ATE systems or complex measurement platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to debug hardware to component level.
  • Hands‑on experience with PCBA assembly, rework, or modification following IPC guidelines.
  • Experience supporting NPI, Pilot Line, or early product development stages.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, ambiguous engineering environment.
  • Strong English communication skills for collaboration with cross‑functional global teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience with ETS / Eagle Test Systems platforms.
  • Prior role as a Pilot Line Engineer, NPI Engineer, or Hardware Validation Engineer.
  • Experience supporting DV, qualification, or pre‑production builds.
  • Familiarity with yield tracking, failure analysis, and data‑driven corrective actions.
  • Experience collaborating closely with design engineering teams during bring‑up.
  • Exposure to global manufacturing transfers or factory ramp support.

Responsibilities

  • Support early engineering builds for ETS platforms, including prototype and pre‑DV hardware.
  • Execute and support Design Verification (DV) activities during Phase 3 development.
  • Perform system‑level and board‑level bring‑up, identifying hardware, integration, and manufacturing gaps.
  • Partner closely with US‑based design engineers to accelerate issue discovery and resolution.
  • Perform hands‑on debug of electronic boards and systems using schematics, layout data, and test tools.
  • Support minor PCBAs rework and modifications following IPC standards.
  • Conduct HLA (High Level Assembly) support and troubleshooting during pilot builds.
  • Drive failures to root cause, distinguishing design, process, and assembly contributors.
  • Track failures, trends, and yield indicators using Teradyne manufacturing and data systems.
  • Generate clear technical documentation to support internal teams and downstream manufacturing.
  • Support knowledge transfer to global Pilot Line and Contract Manufacturing teams when required.
