Role: Test Engineer III Location: Sunnyvale, CA (Onsite) Core Responsibilities: Manage the operation of a 3D Depth Sensing Characterization Laboratory, executing comprehensive test plans utilizing robotic test automation for AR/VR components (including projectors, cameras, sensors, and optics). Engage in effective collaboration and communication within a cross-functional team environment. Mandatory Skills: Programming: Demonstrated proficiency in Python and C++. Solidworks: Practical experience in designing parts for 3D printing and machining. Laboratory Work: Direct experience in device control, tooling development, experiment execution, and statistical data analysis. Desirable Skills: Experience with Computer Vision tools. Familiarity with Camera systems. Knowledge of Lidar mapping systems. Educational Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in Optical Sciences, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required. Equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Must have Skills: Programming - Python, C++ CAD Lab Work, developing tooling, running experiment Nice-to-have Skills: Experience with computer Vision, cameras, sensors, having some experience in physics , engineering AR VR projects Camera company - Someone with lab experience is more important than larger tech company The pay range for this role is $120000- $130000 per annum including any bonuses or variable pay.
