General Dynamics Mission Systems is actively seeking a Test Engineer for our Secure Network and Voice Product Development Team. This position is critical for advancing our automated testing capabilities, requiring collaboration within an agile team to convert operational concepts into practical designs and implementations. The role entails transforming existing design and new specifications into design, coding, and conducting testing and debugging. What you’ll experience: Work on an agile team to design and implement automated testing solutions. Develop automation within a test framework. Create test procedures from requirements

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field. Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience or a Master's degree.
Department of Defense SECRET security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Strong knowledge of a scripting language, preferably Python.
Proficient knowledge of software tools supporting Integrated Development Environments (IDE), version control, defect reporting and scripting
Ability to turn concepts, specifications, or requirements into design and code.
Experience with testing and debugging.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.

Understanding of software development best practices.
Passion for coding and staying updated with the latest technologies.
Ability to define the scope, schedule, and expectations for the work you execute.
Shows initiative on assignments and executes projects with little guidance
Creative thinking with the ability to effectively multi-task
