Watring and Cimarron are seeking a Test Engineer to support our team in Huntsville, AL. Watring is a subsidiary of Cimarron. Watring Technologies, Inc. is a Huntsville, Alabama, technology-based design and manufacturing company specializing in custom hardware and turnkey solutions. Founded in 1997, Watring Technologies’ primary support is in Aerospace and Defense. Their capabilities include hardware integration, testing, and product development. With this acquisition, Cimarron gains substantial capability in both expanded service and product offerings.

  • Plan, execute, and document system-level functional tests to validate performance and compliance with program requirements.
  • Develop and interpret engineering documentation, including drawings, work instructions, test plans, test procedures, and test reports.
  • Analyze test data, identify anomalies, and provide recommendations for corrective actions or design improvements.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, customers, and subcontractors to ensure alignment with technical objectives and program milestones.
  • Prepare and present technical findings, status updates, and recommendations to senior leadership and prime contractors.
  • Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. Citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
  • Active Secret Clearance (or higher).
  • 5 or more years of experience.
  • Plan, execute, and document system-level functional tests to validate performance and compliance with program requirements.
  • Possess strong defense industry experience with a customer focus and knowledge that includes Department of War, Army, United States Space Force (USSF) and Missile Defense Agency (MDA).
  • Ability to work hands-on with mechanical designs and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with both customer and subcontractor personnel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to advise senior leadership and prime contractors.
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience with LabVIEW and MATLAB.
