Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar discipline, or significant related experience in lieu of degree
  • Well organized, detail oriented and capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and risk management in planning process.
  • Ability to apply fundamental knowledge of mathematics and physical sciences to real-world applications supporting the development of products, test equipment, test procedures, and measurement techniques.
  • Strong technical communication skills both written and verbal.  Should be able to easily communicate complex technical subjects to customers with a variety of backgrounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Agricultural Engineering or similar discipline, or significant related experience in lieu of degree
  • 1+ years of related work experience in product testing or similar role.
  • Previous butterfly valve and other valve design experience is strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in engineering documentation, drafting, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Solid modeling knowledge and experience using Solid Works 3D/Creo/Inventor or similar modelling software.
  • Lean/ Six Sigma knowledge and/or certification.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for test lab safety, operations and organization.
  • Lead future development of lab space specific to Isolation Valve testing.
  • Provide technical input and direction to the design and evaluation of new product concepts, including conceptualization, design review, and testing of complex products.
  • Interpret industry standards that pertain to High Performance Butterfly Valve testing and coordinate testing associated with certification.
  • Create, document, and implement engineering best practices and test plans in cooperation with global design teams.
  • Evaluate experimental data and prepare engineering reports, including analysis, conclusions, and recommendations.
  • Design, build, and operate complex test equipment and automated data acquisition systems, using programming applications such as LabVIEW, FlexLogger, DIAdem, and DeltaV.
  • Work effectively in a global and local team with the ability to work independently in local test facility to drive projects forward.
  • Develop and administer formal and informal training to other team members.
  • Leverage expertise in valve test methods and lead continuous improvement and implementation of test technologies across the global labs.
