Secret cleared Test Engineer
About The Position
Our client, a government contractor supporting mission-critical defense programs, is seeking a Test Engineer to join their team in the Scottsdale area. This position will support engineering teams responsible for testing and validating advanced systems used by U.S. defense and national security customers. This role begins as a 3-month+ contract engagement with strong potential for extension or conversion to a full-time, salaried position based on performance and program needs. The organization has a track record of retaining contractors long-term, with several team members working on extended engagements of 12 months or longer. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing and executing test plans, troubleshooting system issues, and documenting results in a structured engineering environment. An active U.S. DoD Secret clearance is preferred, but candidates who are eligible and willing to obtain a clearance will also be considered. Requirements
- Active DOD Secret clearance or eligible for this level of clearance
- Being comfortable commuting onsite 5 days per week
- Requires a Bachelor's degree PLUS 2+ of job-related experience, or Master's degree and 6+ months job-related experience
- Experience with test equipment
- Solid knowledge in use and understanding of test engineering concepts, principles, and theories
- Solid knowledge and experience with object-oriented programming, system processes and scripting languages (Python)
Responsibilities
- Development of functional, environmental, operational, and/or performance tests on hardware, software, and systems
- Design, development and implementation of testing/troubleshooting of HW, SW and systems
- Design test plans that cover all aspects of product
