About The Position

The position involves developing test methods to verify product functionality using a Python-based test platform. The role requires troubleshooting new or existing product problems, which may involve designs, materials, or processes. Additionally, the candidate will define processes and methods for high-volume manufacturing, including operations method sheets, routing, and sequencing. The position also entails performing root cause investigations and recommending corrective actions for operational problems, such as material use variances, bottlenecks, and fixture issues during the build or manufacturing process. The candidate will identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes or resolve problems and follow through on resolutions to reduce costs, improve product quality, and cycle time. Furthermore, the role includes reviewing and developing designs that enhance product manufacturability and assembly, supporting new product builds in production manufacturing in close partnership with pilot and product engineers, and providing support to Lam's Global Factories with product transitions and troubleshooting support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years of experience; or Master's degree with 5+ years' experience; or equivalent experience.
• Experienced with Python coding language for automating test scripts, tracking metrics, and interfacing with third-party devices.
• Skilled troubleshooting capabilities in the areas of electro/mechanical assemblies.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Proficient in Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) with an approach to structured problem-solving and decision-making.
• Experience in Engineering Change Management Process.

Responsibilities

• Review and develop designs that improve product manufacturability and assembly.
• Support new product builds in production manufacturing, partnering closely with pilot and product engineers.
• Support Lam's Global Factories with product transitions and troubleshooting support.
