About The Position

This position involves performing regular test-related activities that are essential to the role of a test engineer at a safety test facility. The responsibilities include setting up tests, conducting tests, and reviewing data to ensure high-quality outcomes. The engineer will provide support for engineering tasks, problem resolution, and recommendations for improvements within Safety Labs. Additionally, the role requires interfacing with both internal and external customers regarding testing and facility enhancements. The engineer will also review and analyze test data from test stands to ensure that high-quality test data is collected and delivered to customers, making necessary adjustments to maintain testing standards.

Requirements

• BSEE or BSME degree required.
• Familiarity with data acquisition systems and control systems.
• Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
• Goal-oriented self-starter with strong teamwork skills.

• Knowledge of control systems, design of experiments, and process control methods.

Responsibilities

• Set up tests and conduct tests at the safety test facility.
• Review and analyze test data to ensure high quality is maintained.
• Provide engineering support and problem resolution for testing activities.
• Interface with internal and external customers regarding testing and facility improvements.
• Provide direction to test technicians supporting multiple test stands.
• Perform initial diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of test systems.
• Support project engineering teams for test facility and instrumentation upgrades.
• Evaluate existing test systems and recommend improvements.
• Research, recommend, design, and implement advanced technologies for safety test facilities.
