We are looking for a Rail Traction Components Test Engineer Intern. This position will be based at our Alpharetta area branch located in Georgia. During your summer journey with us, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the Test Engineering Team where you will learn how to specify, commission, debug, or maintain test equipment used for Rail Components.

  • Learn about our standard processes and our test equipment
  • Gain insight into electrical equipment and what it takes to keep it running
  • Troubleshoot equipment that is not working properly
  • Develop new processes and commission new equipment
  • Work with project managers, engineers, and manufacturing experts to learn about the entire lifecycle of a project through shadowing and the assignment of relevant tasks to build up your practical knowledge
  • Interface with different areas of the business and learn about how collaboration drives success
  • Must be pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in Engineering - Mechanical, Electrical, Computer or similar from an accredited college or university
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required
  • Must reside or go to school near internship location (Alpharetta)
  • Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Previous internship experience or relevant school projects
  • Strong communication skills - verbal and written
  • Ability to work on a team
  • Interest in learning about the rail industry - project management, customer service operations, manufacturing, etc.
  • Hourly pay range of $25.00 per hour for first time Interns or $30.00 per hour for returning Interns
  • Eligible to contribute into our 401K program
