About The Position

Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise. This internship is a part of a 10-week full-time summer internship program opportunity. This role will be based at Archer’s headquarters in San Jose, California and relocation or housing will not be provided. This internship provides a hands-on opportunity to gain practical experience within the Inverter Electrical Test team.

Requirements

• Going into the 2nd or 3rd year in college career
• PCB schematic design experience.
• Coding experience
• Basic understanding of power electronics
• Willing to work on a project that requires multi discipline knowledge, like electrical, mechanical, and coding
• Hands on experience building

Responsibilities

• Design and build reliable automated test equipment to conduct functional tests on PCBAs or modules.
• Work together with Design Engineers, System Engineers, and Reliability Engineers to Identify design critical operating modes and create design validation test plans.
• Work with test technicians to build validation test setups and execute test plans and teardowns.
• Investigate device failures, PCBA fixture debugging to determine root cause and drive product improvements.
• Identify and plan critical tests to validate new technologies.
• Collect, analyze and report test data with exposure to modern data logging and high-resolution measurement techniques.
