Requirements

  • Strong foundation in electrical engineering fundamentals with practical experience applying them to real systems.
  • Hands-on familiarity with instrumentation and data acquisition hardware, including sensors and control systems.
  • Problem-solver who can adapt to a wide range of technical challenges.
  • Collaborative, curious, and eager to gain hands-on experience building and improving test stand hardware and controls.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience designing custom PCBs and using tools such as Altium Designer.
  • Programming skills for data acquisition and control systems (e.g., Python, MATLAB, TwinCAT, or C/C++).
  • Familiarity with actuator systems, including hydraulic, pneumatic, or electromechanical controls.
  • Prior hands-on project or internship experience building test setups or integrating sensors and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement advanced control and data acquisition systems for test stands, including cabinet layouts, instrumentation, and custom PCB designs.
  • Support test operations by troubleshooting, tuning, and improving existing systems to ensure reliable performance.
  • Gain hands-on experience with control hardware, data acquisition equipment, and instrumentation integration.
  • Solve diverse technical challenges that vary in complexity, scope, and long-term impact.
  • Collaborate on projects such as building DAQ cabinets, configuring instrumentation, and developing actuator control systems.
