Test Engineer III (NPD)
About The Position
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Test Engineer III to support New Product Development (NPD) within our Test Engineering organization. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and executing test programs for new and evolving products, with a strong emphasis on test procedure development, mechanical test system design, and customer-driven validation activities. This is a hands-on, high-impact engineering role operating in a fast-paced environment with evolving requirements. The ideal candidate will bring strong mechanical aptitude, production-level test experience, and the ability to translate customer requirements into executable test procedures. Over time, this individual will have the opportunity to grow into a technical leader within NPD test engineering.
Requirements
- 8+ years of engineering experience preferred (flexible for strong candidates)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and test system design experience
- Experience developing test procedures in a production environment
- Familiarity with test equipment and instrumentation
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Aerospace or energetics experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs) and Qualification Test Procedures (QTPs)
- Translate customer requirements into executable test plans
- Design test fixtures, setups, and mechanical systems
- Perform test data analysis and provide feedback to Design Engineering
- Interface with customers and cross-functional teams
- Support troubleshooting and validation testing
