About The Position

Unlike roles with similar names at the other companies, Test Engineers at Google aren't manual testers -- you write scripts to automate testing and create tools so developers can test their own code. As a Test Engineer, you navigate Google's massive codebase, identify weak spots and constantly design better and creative ways to break software and identify potential problems. You'll have a huge impact on the quality of Google's growing suite of products and services. We create a home that takes care of the people inside it and the world around it. Our mission is to ship software and products with a high velocity through Artificial Intelligence (AI), infrastructure and tooling, engineering excellence and efficient quality processes and metrics. We enable ease, speed of development and deliver quality for the Home Experiences and Google products by building tooling, scalable infrastructure and driving quality insights into the development process. Our team pushes the limits of automation infrastructure, data metrics and developer tooling to drive quality across devices, services, and apps. We work with multiple development teams across different regional offices(e.g. Mountain View, Bangalore, Taipei). Join us to help our users to build better, more helpful homes. The Google Home team focuses on hardware, software and services offerings for the home, ranging from thermostats to smart displays. The Home team researches, designs, and develops new technologies and hardware to make users’ homes more helpful.
