Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. Raytheon Field Engineering is seeking a Test Engineer II to support the Trident Integrated Support Facility (ISF). In this role, you’ll drive the testing, troubleshooting, and validation of advanced electromechanical systems while supporting automated test equipment and production operations. This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys hands‑on work, data analysis, and collaborating across disciplines in a mission‑critical defense environment.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulation.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience with complex electromechanical or guidance‑related systems.
  • Experience reading electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Experience in defense, aerospace, or DoD production environments.
  • Experience with LabVIEW, MATLAB, or test equipment calibration.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering (or related field).
  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional engineering, production teams, and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Perform testing, diagnostics, and fault analysis of complex electromechanical systems.
  • Support installation, qualification, and maintenance of automated functional and environmental test systems.
  • Develop clear and effective test procedures, technical documentation, and training materials.
  • Train and guide production and test personnel on equipment and processes.
  • Analyze test data and performance trends; support root‑cause and corrective‑action efforts.
  • Provide technical support for hardware/software development and production test operations.
  • Conduct investigations for Out‑of‑Tolerance events and support impact assessments.
  • Present technical findings to leadership and customer representatives.
  • Support audit preparation and ensure compliance with specifications and procedures.
