A Day in the Life Medtronic is seeking a Test Engineer II to collaborate with the R&D department to assist in the planning and evaluation of medical devices, contributing to evidence for the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of the devices. This position will be a part of a Surgical Instrument Testing Service Team and will interface with cross-functional team members. Location: North Haven, CT 3rd Shift Schedule: Sunday - Thursday, 11 pm - 7:30 am Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Requires a Baccalaureate degree and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with a minimum of 0 years relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment.
  • Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices.
  • Provides test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies tests to be performed.
  • Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements.
  • Responsible for testing all customer samples and for special tests that cannot be performed in the test area.
