About The Position

(dba 3rd Eye) Job Title: Test Engineer II Job Code: #11608.767 Job Location: 106 45th Street NE, Fort Payne, AL 35967 Job Type: Full Time Openings: 1 Duties: • Design test fixtures, design tests to validate new design, conduct and document tests, maintain all mobile and lab data acquisition equipment, ensure all data is correct and perform data analysis. • Review submitted lab requests and provide test results in a clear and concise lab report. • Develop test plans. • Design test stands in CAD. • Oversee the fabrication of test stands. • Perform tests and monitoring test stands. • Record data with data acquisition systems. • Analyze data and writing reports, and perform post process analysis of data. • Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and structural problems and performing weld analysis and metallographic examination. • Conducting tests, writing technical reports, designing test rigs, writing programs, and performing weld analysis via metallographic examination and non-destructive testing. Requirements: Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a Test Engineer II-related occupation. Alternatively, employer will accept a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a Test Engineer II-related occupation. Position requires experience in the following: • At least one (1) year of experience with Pro-E, Solidworks, or Similar 3D Modeling Software manufacturing software packages. • At least one (1) year of experience with Finite Element Analysis use and theory to analyze fixture designs and for understanding and comparing real world stress measurement results to theoretical model. • At least one (1) year of experience with Data Analysis to analyze and visualize data. • At least one (1) year of experience with Test Fixture Design to create and use tools to test a product. • At least one (1) year of Data Acquisition Equipment Experience. • At least one (1) year of experience with electrical troubleshooting. • At least one (1) year of experience in product testing and validation. Position also requires demonstrable experience in the following: • Demonstrable experience writing detailed Technical Reports and Following Test Procedures. • Demonstrable instrumentation knowledge, CAD software and computer skills. • Demonstratable experience in manufacturing processes.
