About The Position

As a Test Engineer II, you will independently design, execute, and maintain both manual and automated tests to ensure high-quality software delivery. You will contribute to test planning, develop detailed test cases, and identify, report, and track defects. With a deeper understanding of TE processes, you'll work closely with developers and product teams to troubleshoot issues, enhance testing methodologies, and continuously improve test coverage across applications, maximizing testing efficiency through automation. This role offers growth opportunities to further refine your technical expertise and contribute to complex testing initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related fields, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years industry experience, independently working on small to medium sized projects.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues independently and propose solutions.
  • Experience with API testing using tools like Postman or SoapUI.
  • Ability to write and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, TestNG, or similar.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple testing tasks simultaneously and prioritize based on project deadlines.
  • Knowledge of testing methodologies including automated, functional, regression, and UAT.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with defect tracking management and documentation tools like JIRA and Confluence.
  • Ability to identify complex defects and discrepancies with minimal guidance.
  • Experience in mentoring junior team members.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive and reproducible test cases based on complex requirements and execute them independently.
  • Perform a variety of testing types, including functional, integration, and regression tests to reduce production defects.
  • Conduct both manual and automated testing with the goal of minimizing production defects.
  • Automate key functional and regression tests and ensure test scripts are efficient and reusable.
  • Independently create test cases, test results, and bug reports.
  • Work closely with TPM/engineers to clarify product requirements and provide feedback.
  • Facilitate and guide UAT activities.
  • Provide mentorship to junior team members on test design, execution, and best practices.
  • Identify obstacles impacting testing progress and work with team members to resolve them.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of test cases to ensure they are comprehensive and aligned with requirements.
  • Track testing metrics such as test coverage, defect density, and execution time.
  • Expand automation knowledge and take ownership of automated tests.
