About The Position

Do you have an eye for detail and enjoy working with amazing products and tools? Join us in championing and protecting explorers and heroes! As a Test Engineer at SNC, you will be using your skills and expertise to simulate, test, certify and improve cutting edge products and services. You'll develop complex test plans and procedures for a variety of systems to ensure the verification and validation of all product requirements. You will also be involved with the execution of the tests using top industry tools. As a cross functional engineer, you'll test system and component level new products and develop new test processes throughout the product lifecycle. The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains - air, land, sea, space and cyber.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering or other related discipline.
  • Typically 2 or more years of experience.
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle including how QA fits into each phase from requirements through deployment and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of requirements management, system design, and systems integration.
  • Exposure to planning, conducting and documenting Verification and Validation (V&V) activities.
  • Ability to prepare complex and professional test plans, test procedures, and test reports.
  • Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
  • Ability to identify, document, and clearly communicate bugs and issues to developers and stakeholders.
  • Detailed oriented mindset with a focus on test coverage, accuracy and repeatability.
  • Willingness to learn automation concepts and tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwrite, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and participation in Agile ceremonies.
  • Experience working in CI/CD environments and understanding how testing fits into deployment pipelines.
  • Knowledge of API testing tools.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating closely with developers and product owners.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities may shift quickly.
  • Ability to perform exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and usability issues.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.
