About The Position

This position requires determining the effects of radiation environments on various components and systems. Radiation test data will be collected and used to verify component behavior in a variety of radiation environments. Tasks include analyzing and interpreting test data and participating on teams that resolve technical issues. This position requires close interfacing with customers, fellow radiation effects systems engineers and designers to ensure proper component selections are made. You will report directly to our Systems Engineering Manager, and you will work out of our Clearwater, FL location. This role is eligible for hybrid work mode, except for the first 90 days.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • 2+ years of direct experience

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop and execute radiation tests on electrical components and systems.
  • Design and develop component test hardware/software for various radiation environments.
  • Develop and execute test plans and procedures for radiation characterization and radiation lot acceptance tests.
  • Analyze and interpret radiation test data.
  • Conduct functional, performance, and qualification testing.
  • Develop and execute detailed test schedules.
  • Prepare radiation test & analysis reports.
  • Prepare and present radiation results and achieve customer approvals.
  • Experience working in radiation environments, radiation facilities, and dosimetry systems to include prompt dose, total dose, neutron, proton, and heavy ion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and reliability.
