About The Position

The Test Engineer is a part of the Test Engineering Team at the Huntsville Factory. Primarily, this position is responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of test software and hardware.

Requirements

• BSEE or related field of study required.
• 0-3 years related experience and/or training; specifically reading and comprehending schematics incorporating digital, analog and power circuits.
• 0-3 years’ experience with In-circuit test (ICT) and end-of-line test (EOLT) equipment.
• Proficiency with programming in C, C++, Visual Basic, and/or Lab View languages; Windows (98, XP, 7, 8) and Linux platforms; MySQL servers.
• Advanced MS Office skills, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Reading Comprehension: Ability to read, comprehend and interpret electrical schematics.
• Verbal communication skills: Ability to effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees and management.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks and one time and switch between tasks quickly.
• Soldering capabilities through hole and surface mount components.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and independently.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain test software and hardware.
• Create and implement procedures for in-circuit test (ICT) and end-of-line test (EOLT) equipment.
• Troubleshoot failures, identify root causes and implement corrective actions for test equipment.
• Repair and perform preventative maintenance on test equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics.
• Test, rework, and debug Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) down to the component level.
• All other duties as assigned by management to ensure the success of Futaba.
