Raytheon Field Engineering is seeking a Test Engineer I to assist and support the Trident Integrated Support Facility (ISF) in Pittsfield, MA. The Test Engineer will work within the Test Engineering Team. This engineer is responsible for the implementation of established program requirements in the form of test plans, procedures, and work direction to be executed by the team.

  • Test, Evaluation, Troubleshooting, and Disposition of complex electromechanical systems with a focus on electrical performance and fault analysis.
  • Coordination of Installation, Qualification, and Maintenance of automated test systems used to perform functional, calibration, and environmental tests.
  • Extensive technical writing - test and maintenance procedures, failure analysis, training materials, engineering change requests, customer presentations, waivers and deviations.
  • Data handling, reduction, and analysis.
  • Support for hardware and software development tasks.
  • Technical support and oversight for test personnel operating in a production environment.
  • Verification of hardware acceptance test results as well as compliance to customer drawings, specifications, and procedures.
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of zero years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience with engineering processes that relate to manufacturing, design, and support.
  • Experience reading both electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Prior engineering experience with complex electro-mechanical or guidance-related systems.
  • Prior experience in supporting a Defense, Aerospace, or Intelligence Community Business Area.
  • Experience in a DoD-related manufacturing/production environment.
  • Hands-on maintenance and test experience.
  • Ability to manage projects; schedules, budgets, and priorities.
  • Knowledge of LabVIEW and MATLAB software.
  • Experience in calibration of test and measurement equipment.
  • Current Active SECRET Security Clearance.
