About The Position

The Test & Measurement (T&M) Test Engineering team designs, assembles, and validates test solutions to be used in T&M Manufacturing facilities to test T&M products at various stages of their assembly process. We are seeking a Test Engineer who will design these automated test systems. IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE: Designing or revising custom printed circuit boards to be used in a test fixture Developing production test code for the next generation of NI products Qualifying instruments for use in a Test application to be deployed to Manufacturing Analyzing production test data to look for trends that indicate the health of the product and/or test solution WHO YOU ARE: You stay on Top of new communication technologies. You partner with others to get work done. You persist in accomplishing objectives despite obstacles and setbacks

Requirements

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
  • 5+ years of experience in Production Test Engineering or related Engineering field
  • Legal Authorization to work in the United States – sponsorship will not be provided for this role
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future Individuals with temporary visas such as E, F-1 (including those with OPT or CPT), H-1, H-2, L-1, B, J or TN, or who need sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, are not eligible for hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong candidates will have an understanding of the following concepts and principles:
  • High-level programming languages (e.g. LabVIEW, TestStand, Python)
  • Analog signal considerations
  • Sources of measurement error
  • Appropriate selection of instrumentation
  • Statistical analysis of data
  • Integration of hardware and software
  • Hands-on experience with electronic hardware
  • Experience with high frequency circuit design, RF and wireless communication is highly desirable

Responsibilities

  • Designing or revising custom printed circuit boards to be used in a test fixture
