The Test Engineer designs, performs, and analyzes tests of the electronic systems and components used on BETA aircraft to ensure they meet safety and performance standards. They develop test plans and procedures, use specialized software and instrumentation, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with design team members to resolve defects, ensuring the reliability and quality of aerospace systems.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles, especially in electronics and aerospace.
  • Experience with test software, data analysis, and specialized instrumentation.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering plus 3+ years of test engineering experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Labview and/or speedgoat hardware.
  • Demonstrated experience in data acquisition, specifically with large data sets over multiple measurement domains.
  • Schematic capture and printed circuit board layout experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement test plans and procedures for electronic systems, including test requirements analysis, system design, and execution.
  • Analyze complex test data to evaluate the performance, reliability, and functionality of electronic components and systems.
  • Identify and resolve issues or defects found during testing.
  • Develop hardware and software tools to automate testing and improve efficiency.
