Kett Engineering is currently seeking applications for the position of Test Driver, specifically for weekend shifts. This role is part of an automotive testing and research and development program located in Englewood, CO. The Test Driver will be responsible for following the directions of the Lead Driver and/or Project Coordinator, performing various driving services on vehicles according to customer specifications. This position is ideal for college students and retirees who are looking for part-time work and have a passion for driving. The Test Driver is expected to represent Kett Engineering in a professional manner while ensuring that all driving tasks are completed with integrity and accuracy. The Test Driver will work primarily on weekends, with shifts running from 4:00 am to 2:30 pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Each shift will last between 8 to 10 hours, and the driver must demonstrate the ability to drive all schedules they are certified on consistently. Daily responsibilities include preparing accurate driver reports, documenting observations clearly, and performing related vehicle preparation work as assigned. The role requires a strong focus on safety, compliance with all safety practices, and effective communication skills, both verbal and written. In addition to driving duties, the Test Driver will contribute to a positive work environment and promote teamwork. They must possess a thorough understanding of Kett Engineering's policies and procedures, as well as the company's vision and values. The ability to complete concise and accurate documentation is essential, and the driver must be able to drive in various weather conditions and at high altitudes, as well as manage long driving periods of up to three hours between breaks.
