About The Position

Kett Engineering is seeking part-time Test Drivers for a research and development program in Dearborn, MI. The role involves following directions from the Lead Driver and/or Project Coordinator, performing various driving services on vehicles, and representing Kett Engineering professionally. Candidates should be available for full-time hours on the 1st shift, which runs from 4:00 am to 2:30 pm.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
• At least 5 years of licensed driving experience required.
• Valid driver's license is mandatory.
• Clean driving record for the last 3 years with no points, moving violations, or at-fault accidents.
• No suspensions within the last 3 years.
• No DUI, DWAI, or OUI on driving record.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
• Ability to drive in inclement weather is required.
• Must be able to drive up to 3 hours between breaks.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ability to drive all schedules certified on, maintaining complete schedule integrity.
• Prepare accurate driver reports and other records daily, documenting observations clearly and concisely.
• Perform related driving and vehicle preparation work as assigned.
• Contribute to a positive work environment and promote overall team effort.
• Focus on meeting and exceeding Kett and customer expectations.
• Possess a thorough understanding of Kett and customer policies and procedures.
• Complete concise and accurate documentation.
• Promote safety awareness and ensure compliance with all safety practices.
