This is an onsite position running June – August with possibility to extend through the fall. Opportunity overview The TDE Team at Teradyne's North Reading, MA headquarters, is responsible for developing the test strategy, test equipment, test software, self-test software and procedures for new product introductions. We are currently seeking a Test Development Engineering Intern/Co-op who will serve as a technical contributor in the test development group. This position is located full-time on-site in North Reading, MA. Flexible start and end dates, 4-6 month duration preferred. Summer only or fall co-ops (July-Dec) welcome. The Test Development Engineering Intern/Co-op will be responsible for the following: Test Development plays a key role in the product development processes. The variety of activities in these processes involves a diversity of skills that you won't find in many other entry-level opportunities. Requirements

Be working toward a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering or related field
Have knowledge of C / C++/ C#, .NET framework
Familiarity with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, and waveform generators
Proficiency with MS office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Have effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Must meet ITAR/FOUO requirements
Must be available to commute to and work on site at our North Reading, MA facility

Responsibilities

Develop and/or improve test processes for Analog, Digital, and/or Optical test equipment including test strategy, interface design, test station design, test software, fixturing, software tools, documentation, and process control capabilities
Integrate new processes into production.
Serve as a technical resource for factory operations to assist in general troubleshooting and debug of hardware or test software
Investigate and develop more efficient test processes utilizing metrics to indicate results.
Go beyond individual defect investigation & characterization to understanding defect trends in order to influence testing directions.
Support design teams in development stages of new and existing products
