The Sr. Software Test Development Engineer at Jabil plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of hardware products within the Enterprise and Infrastructure division. This position involves designing and developing test systems, creating and maintaining test software, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet rigorous quality standards. The engineer will contribute to the end-to-end architecture and deployment of production software applications, ensuring alignment with manufacturing processes and customer satisfaction.

  • Design and develop test systems and procedures for manufacturing processes.
  • Create test plans, test cases, and test scripts to assess functionality and performance of hardware components.
  • Develop, validate, release, and maintain test software and scripts that automate the testing process.
  • Support and maintain manufacturing server and rack level test software and infrastructure.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of test procedures, specifications, and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on testing requirements and quality standards.
  • Stay updated on advancements in testing technologies and methodologies.
  • BS degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
  • 5-8 years experience in software manufacturing test development/sustaining with enterprise server, storage or networking products.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Expertise in programming/scripting languages: Python, Java, BASH, C, C++.
  • Linux development expertise with a solid understanding of CentOS/Ubuntu.
  • Expertise with hardware and API solutions for controlling L10 devices.
  • Expertise in the creation and configuration of Virtual Machines using VMWare.
  • Strong knowledge of professional software engineering practices.
  • MS degree preferred.
  • Experience working in multi-site and multi-cultural environments.
